Dean Zvi Galil Awarded Waterloo Honorary Degree

Zvi Galil, John P. Imlay Jr. Dean of Computing at Georgia Tech, was awarded an honorary degree by the University of Waterloo at the mathematics portion of its 104th Convocation ceremony, held Friday, June 15, in Waterloo, Ontario.

Galil, who has served as dean of the College of Computing since July 2010, was awarded the Waterloo honorary degree in mathematics, along with John Dennis Jr., a longtime professor in computational and applied mathematics at Rice University.
