New Tools to Measure Home Broadband Connections Now Available

Measurement Lab Introduces a New, Hardware-Based Tool

Nick Feamster (Computer Science) and other researchers working on the BISMark project have just released a BISmark measurement router which monitors the performance of the internet. Because this is done through a router, researchers will be able to distinguish between performance issues caused by an ISP or a user's home network. Source: Google Public Policy Blog
