Elementary Student Weekend Workshops
The Institute for Computing Education (ICE) will offer a series of weekend computing workshops for 4th - 6th graders. Each workshop will be $25 per person. Each will have a maximum of 24 students. The workshop will take place in the College of Computing, room 345. The workshops run from 9:00am - 12:00pm.
September 10th - Lego Robotics
Driverless Vehicles: From the DARPA challenge to Google's Driverless Cars, robotic transportation and autonomous vehicles present an exciting field in research and invention. Students in this workshop will build a vehicle with the Mindstorms Robot kit and program the vehicle with NXT-G to navigate a "road course" while avoiding obstacles and "delivering" passengers.
